A Japanese restaurant in a renovated old folk house in the settlement of Natasho, Ohi Town. The owner trained for 10 years at "Kikunoi Honten" in Kyoto and opened this restaurant in his hometown in June 2023. He says the name of the restaurant was taken from the name of his great-grandmother who lived in this house.
The building, over 100 years old, has been completely renovated, creating a calm atmosphere composed of wood and earthen walls. It is a special space where luxury and warmth fuse, with a lacquer-coated counter and the scenery of satoyama spreading outside the large window.
Carefully Selecting and Providing Rich Seafood and Mountain Food of Wakasa
The cuisine is Japanese cuisine using abundant local ingredients. Gibier such as bear, boar, and deer delivered from local hunters. River fish such as Ayu (sweetfish) caught in nearby rivers. The menu is Omakase courses only. Lunch has 3 courses: 5,500 yen, 11,000 yen, and 16,500 yen (all including tax), and dinner is 16,500 yen (same) and a limited-time crab course (market price). It is by reservation only, and the meal time is 2.5 to 3 hours.
